A few days before Halloween, the staff of Sunshine on a Ranney Day, along with the cast of TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta, transformed Peyton’s bedroom into a fairytale room perfect for the pint-sized princess. Peyton was born a fighter, spending 12 harrowing hours in the NICU after emerging from the womb with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck three times. As a toddler, Peyton flourished, growing into a big and magnetic personality, while lavishing love on all those around her. In early 2014, after the birth of her little brother, Peyton starting to feel ill; unexplained fever, lethargy, and bruises led to multiple tests with her pediatrician. The earth shattering diagnoses of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), a rare and significant type of Leukemia that requires a valiant battle to defeat, left the entire family gearing up for the two-year war against pediatric cancer.

To help raise Princess Peyton’s spirits, and provide her with a bedroom fit for royalty, Sunshine on a Ranney Day – an Atlanta based non-profit organization that provides dream room and home makeovers for children with long-term illnesses – turned to the experts at TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta. Lori Allen and Monte Durham along with the staff of Bridals by Lori, were personally on hand to help transform Peyton’s bedroom into a fairytale, complete with a crystal chandelier, stylish Mohawk Flooring carpeting, tiara accents, and a dress up wardrobe fit for a Queen!

Mohawk Flooring was honored to donate our Tomlin Cove SmartStrand Forever Clean carpet in Vintage Cream, to provide the softest cushion for Princess Peyton’s bare feet while she plays dress up. And, just like Peyton’s the toughest kid on the planet, our SmartStrand Forever Clean carpet is the toughest carpet on the planet, with permanent built-in stain and soil protection that never washes or wears off.

Here are some before and after pictures of Peyton’s dream room makeover, and the royal reveal.
