Can you believe that Thanksgiving is in TWO DAYS!!!! Are you ready?! Because we are not. lol. We are packing up the turkeys (literally) and heading to my in laws house for the holiday (completely last minute) and preparing the meal there. So, there won’t be much table decor action going on this year… but a super simple way to dress up even a basic placesetting is to add the personalized touch of a place card. Here are a few ideas that could easily be whipped together before Thursday.
This simple arrangement of feathers & greenery is so lovely & definitely evokes the feel of Thanksgiving. I would either tie or tape the items together & top with a little piece of kraft paper or even a strip of a brown grocery bag.
These DIY Golden Wishbones are perfection in my book. While they would require the most effort in this list, it would be fun to get the kids involved.
A simple but elegant solution using pinecones from the backyard. If you don’t have any, feel free to come take some out of my yard. Puh-lease!! You can also pick these up at the craft store if you are pinecone free.
Quite possibly my favorite & so simple to duplicate. Simply paint your leaf gold with some spray paint & use a sharpie on top… An oil based sharpie or paint pen might work even better.
How sweet is this tiny bunting?!! Completely adorable & made using a bit of bakers twine & some kraft paper in varying shades.
While I am obsessed with calligraphy & always have been, many of you might feel your handwriting may not be up to par with some of these ideas. Thankfully there are numerous fonts available that you can simply print out & cut into strips making the process that much easier! Here are a few of my go to “handwritten” favorites.
I hope you all have the happiest of Thanksgivings!
