Fall is one of my favorite times of the year! Honestly! I love wearing my jeans and boots, comfy sweaters and cozy scarves. It is such a fun time to be outdoors and enjoy the beautiful weather! I also love decorating for the fall! Truly! I love incorporating warm colors and cozy textures into my home and the fall is a perfect time to add a splash of fall inspired color and decor to your home!  So today I am sharing ways to use fall colors in your home without breaking the bank!

Add a Beautiful Wreath

Wreaths are beautiful on your front door, but they are also amazing inside your home as well!  They can provide a beautiful three dimensional, textured wall decoration!  And they are a great way to incorporate fall colors into your home!  You can easily find something at the store, or if you love to create yourself, come check out this beautiful Fall Hydrangea Wreath for some fun inspiration and a simple DIY project!

Update Your Pillows or Add a Throw

Updating your pillows is a great way to bring a little autumn feeling into your home decor without breaking the bank!  You can simply purchase new pillows, change your pillow covers or even make your own pillow cases like I did HERE.  This is a simple way to add just a touch of fall color to your home without needing to re-do your entire space!

I also love adding a warm throw onto my couch during the fall and winter months!  It not only brings a nice warm and cozy feeling into the space but I use mine all the time when I am sitting on the couch!  And this is another great way to add a touch of autumn color to your space without a big commitment.

Add a Rustic Touch

Nothing says “fall” to me more then pumpkin rides and hay bails and barns…rustic barns!  Raw, rustic and naturally colored wood decor adds a wonderful fall feeling to your home without adding a lot of bold colors to the space.  Woods provide a neutral color pallet but can still bring fall charm and color to a space.

I love decorating with a bit of a rustic flare and the fall is the perfect time to add a few rustic touches to your home.  Whether you find something made out of old barn wood with chippy paint or create something yourself like this Rustic Serving Tray, add just a few rustic touches to bring a sense of fall into your home without being too overwhelming.  (This Industrial Cabinet and this Ampersand Decor are also other great ways to bring a rustic touch into your home.)

Add a Splash of Metallic

Metallics are hot right now and adding a splash of gold, campaign or pewter is a great way to add a perfect little sparkle in a wonderful fall way.  Plus metallics are neutrals so you can add them to any space without needing to redecorate!  You can purchase cute metallic art, decorative touches or even make your own metallic decor!  This Gold Color Blocked Cement Planter is a really simple way to add a touch of metallic to your home this fall.  Or if you are really brave consider adding a beautiful piece of Gold Furniture like this Gold Honeycomb Dresser.

Mohawk Denali Drifting Dunes

Warm it Up with a Rug

And don’t forget to warm your floors and space up with a beautiful rug!  Mohawk offers so many options of custom rugs to fit any space!  Simply pick your favorite carpet and size and they will cut and bind the rug specifically for you!  You can go bold and add a beautiful fall color like navy, plum or grey.  But I personally think that this Denali Bluffs Drifting Dunes frieze carpet would add a bit of warmth without being overwhelming in color.
