Last year I celebrated the new year from the maternity ward of our hospital, since our son had just arrived. It was fun to see fireworks over the city, but did feel strange having a nurse bring champagne at midnight. It has been an amazing year.  One, that I personally will never forget. Not to mention our little blog was born!

New Year always feels like a fresh start. I find myself thinking about everything that was accomplished, and where I’d like to be when I stand on the edge of 2013 peering into 2014.

“Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.” ― Oprah Winfrey

Wait…did I just post a quote from Oprah? Anyway…

This year we celebrated with friends, and enjoyed homemade fish tacos, fries & doughnuts. Cause isn’t that how you want to end the holidays with a huge meal?

After several hilarious games of charades {have you tried acting out Tuesdays with Morrie, Iowa and Chief Noc-A-Homa [I had to google that after the game, which made it even harder! ]?}  We wrapped up the evening by releasing wish lanterns and eating key lime pie.

We have some exciting plans for our little corner of the interwebs. Here’s to 2013!
