At Mohawk Flooring, we are committed to helping find the cures for breast cancer. So much so, that we’ve had a long-standing relationship with Susan G. Komen. If you’ve visited our website, or a Mohawk Flooring retailer, you’ve probably seen our Decorate for the Cure pink ribbon logo. And, if you’ve purchased our SmartCushion during 2015-2016, you’ve directly supported the fight against breast cancer.


This year, we’ve taken our relationship with Susan G. Komen to the next level by becoming the official flooring sponsor for all seven Susan G. Komen 3-Day events throughout the Country. While last year we provided 800 participants with SmartCushion at the Philadelphia 3-Day walk, this year we are providing more than 6,000 cushions to all seven 3-Day walks.



Launched in 2013, our Decorate for the Cure program has raised more than $200,000 for Komen through the sale of our SmartCushion™. Not only does SmartCushion™ add extra comfort, durability and an instant warranty upgrade, but between $.02 and $.15 per square yard of our carpet cushion is donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.


And these donations are having a significant impact on the fight against breast cancer! Over the years, Komen has made tremendous strides in the fight against breast cancer.

  • The five-year relative survival rate for early-stage breast cancer has increased to 99 percent in the United States (up from 74% in 1980)
  • Mortality from breast cancer has decreased by 34 percent since 1990
  • America’s 3 million breast cancer survivors are the largest group of cancer survivors today.

Through Decorate for the Cure, and sales of Mohawk’s SmartCushion™, we are honored to support the fight against breast cancer. We’re proud to say that, with the help of our SmartCushion consumers, we have donated more than $3 million to date!
