Hi Creative Home Readers!

It’s Kristin here from Bliss at Home. I am sharing the latest addition to my son’s bedroom.

Today, I am going to show you a really easy craft project that you can do for a kid’s room or party. My youngest son is getting a room makeover, and for some whimsy I made this DIY Triangles Banner.

This project is budget-friendly and can be done for under $10. With the kids home from school for the summer, I like to have some craft projects up my sleeve. This would be a perfect rainy day activity for you all to do together.

This is a NO-SEW project that you can get done in 20-30 mins. It is also a kid-friendly craft, and you can even have little hands help you.

Banners are all the rage right now, and I love seeing them used in home decor. You can make this DIY Triangles Banner in 3 easy steps.

For this project you will use:

Step 1

Make your template. I made a template out of a piece of foam board. This really helps keep the triangles all the same size since you will be glueing them back to back.

Step 2

Trace and cut out your triangles. For each color, take the two pieces of felt and line them up back to back. Trace your triangle pattern on one side and cut out. I cut two sheets of felt at once.

Step 3

Glue your triangles to the yarn. I added fabric glue to my triangles and sandwiched the yarn between two triangles.

Press down firmly and hold for a few seconds. I repeated the same color pattern and evenly spaced out each triangle. So easy!

This is a simply darling adornment for a kid’s room. This would also be a fun addition to drape from a fireplace mantel. It’s fun, modern, and has a little edge too.

Sometimes simple details like this triangle banner add just the right touch to your space. With the kids out of school for summer, maybe you can have a little fun crafting together.
