Winter is knocking down our door, but over at the Pantone Color Institute, Spring 2017 is already on their minds. And from the look of this color palette, it’s going to be bold, bright and beautiful!

Blues & Greens:

When it comes to shades of blues, Pantone offers up three beautiful options. We love the matte denim shade of Niagara, and can predict this will become a popular paint color. The bold shade of Lapis Blue will become a fashion favorite, from Bridesmaid dresses to luxury purses.

When it comes to flooring, we think the exotic Aqua of Island Paradise would look great either against Mohawk’s rich, dark hardwood flooring with ArmorMax finish like our Rockingham Hickory Hardwood style in Gunpowder Hickory, or at the centerpiece of a beach getaway, with wicker, shell and starfish accents.

The Kale trend is far from over, and it’s invading our home décor with Pantone’s recommendation. We like the mellow hue of Kale as a great contrast to the stone looks Mohawk Flooring’s Vannaire tile collection in Ramage Grey.

Neon Brights:

The coral color of Flame and stunning hot pink hue of Pink Yarrow are such a great color combination. When it comes to decorating with bright colors, you could either play it up or down. If you’re looking to add pops of color to neutral décor, consider throw pillows, knick-knacks and an accent wall in either of these two colors. But if you want to go bold all the way, then pair these bright colors with a dark carpet like Mohawk Flooring’s Majestic Bounty SmartStrand Silk Forever Clean with all Pet Protection and Warranty in Charcoal Embers.

Pastel Neutrals:

Majority of Pantone’s color palette might be bright and bold, but we think the neutral shades of Pale Dogwood and Hazelnut will become a big hit with interior designers. The soft pink of Pale Dogwood is a subtle, yet elegant shade to usher in your spring décor. While the rich, beige hue of Hazelnut is a great color choice for carpets and area rugs. We recommend Mohawk’s SmartStrand Silk Forever Clean carpet with All Pet Protection in Hazelnut that can go wall-to-wall or as a cut and bound rug in the living room, under the dining room table, or as an inviting piece for your entryway.

With such beautiful color choices for Spring 2017, we’re excited to countdown to the New Year! Which Pantone color from the Spring 2017 collection is your favorite? Let us know in the comments!
